Kentucky Repertory Theatre
Kentucky Repertory Theatre, a 32 year old, Equity (fully professional) theatre, was recently cited by USA Today as "...one of 10 great places to see the lights way off Broadway," honored by the Kentucky State Legislature as "The State Repertory Theatre of Kentucky," and selected by the Kentucky Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission to produce plays about Lincoln in 2008 - 2009 as an official activity of the celebration of his birth. In light of its extensive community service, KRT received a 2008 Governor's Award in the Arts.
From its inception, KRT has remained committed to producing Equity productions of the best theatre classics and new plays presented in a rotating repertory format. KRT also offers age-appropriate (K-12) touring productions available to schools. All school productions are consistent with KERA objectives, include a teacher's study guide, and, upon request, discussion guides.
